Gov Ngilari Sacks All Political Appointees

Governor of Adamawa State, Barrister Bala James Ngilari has sacked all political appointees in the state with immediate effect.
The position of the governor was contained in a press release issued and signed by the chief of staff to the governor, Alhaji Chubado Tijjani.
Tijjani asked all the sacked political appointees to hand over to the permanent secretaries of their respective ministries.
Fintiri Absent At Assembly Session
The sacked acting governor of Adamawa State, Umaru Fintiri was absent at yesterday’s emergency plenary session convened by the acting speaker of the state House of Assembly, Barr. Kwamoti Laore.
Following the sacking of the acting governor, it was envisaged that he would immediately return to the House of Assembly to continue presiding over it, but that was not to be as he failed to show up at the plenary which was attended by 17 out of the 25 members of the assembly.
There are fears that the House may be thrown into leadership crisis following the pressure allegedly being mounted on the acting speaker not to allow Fintiri to stage a comeback as the speaker on the grounds that the governor of the state and the speaker cannot come from the same local government as is the case with Ngilari and Fintiri.
